NEIGHBOURHOOD RETAIL WATCH: Perth woos Ottawa shoppers on Internet
- In July, a display was unveiled in the lobby of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, kicking off a major promotion of shopping in Downtown Heritage Perth. A companion website
http://shop-heritage-perth.com
was developed to provide more information about this jewel of a shopping destination, less than 1 hour from Ottawa. The site was constructed using only XHTML and CSS and features a syndicated news feed using RSS. The use of RSS on the website was mentioned on the Canada Connects web site, resulting in a massive peak of visitors in one month. We also got a mention in Monitor Today.
